In Luke 24:41, the resurrected Messiah appeared to the disciples. In the midst of this supernatural revelation, He stopped and asked them if they “had anything here to eat?” This was a rather unexpected thing to ask during such a profound life changing divine encounter. Yet it is an important lesson for us to learn. God has His own ways of doing unexpected and surprising things, in unexpected and surprising ways.

As you free yourself from the constraints of self will and carnal nature, and press in to “know the Lord,” you will discover this aspect of God for yourself. He will send the “spirit of revelation” to you (Eph. 1:17), but you must be willing to be a “good and faithful servant” who is walking in fruitful obedience. Are you cultivating a heart that is good ground for the seeds of God? If you

do, you will experience this “Unexpected God.”
